happy porch party!!! :)

Happy Porch Party, everyone!!! :) Thank you for visiting my blog and I can't wait to visit all of yours over the course of the day.... and yes, I want to visit all of them, so look for a comment from me today! Say hi and let's enjoy this wonderful party that is hosted by the lovely Rhondi from Rose Colored Glasses! Thanks Rhondi, what a great idea!! Now onto my porches......

Since I do not have a true "porch," I am posting my dream porches today. And notice I said porches, meaning more than one! I am always conflicted, loving houses at the beach, in the country, and a busy city like New York. So I couldn't choose just one. Here we go and hope you enjoy! :)

First off is a porch that reminds me of somewhere in the Hamptons.. the adirondack chairs with the little bird cutouts, the gorgeous siding to the house, and the white woodwork. Move me to the Hamptons if I could enjoy this gorgeous porch!! :)

These next two are my dream country porches!! Out in the middle of the woods, a big porch to enjoy and read a good book in the quiet... how lovely would that be???

And possibly my favorites.... New York City brownstones and their cute little porches and stairs!!! Obviously, I am crazy about NYC, having obsessively blogged about it for days on end.... so naturally I had to add in a few porches there! But they are gorgeous, beautiful old buildings with history and character. The porches may not be large, but they sure are inspiring! :)

I had so much fun with this porch party, thank you to all of you who are visiting me today and thank you to Rhondi for such a fun idea!!!! And happy birthday to Rhondi as well! :) xo!

I think my favorite is the brownstone at the end - Wonder what it's like inside, hmmm - I can just imagine it's charming!

I love ALL of those porches--isn't it just amazing the variety of styles and decor involved with porches? I never thought much about it until I joined this Porch Party. What fun it has been to visit all of the wonderful blogs and check out existing porches and dream porches. It was so nice to meet you!

I love NYC too! My niece has lived in Manhattan near Central park for several years so I've visited a few times and just fell in love with the whole place. Unfortunately, or fortunately if you're her I guess, she's getting married in July and has moved to Austin where they will be living and loving and working. Her brownstone porch looked almost just like your picture. :) Hang in there, maybe you'll live there one day.

Gorgeous porches! You and I are similar in that we are both conflicted over where we actually want to be. I love aspects of country, city, and in-between! I enjoyed visiting your blog and will be back.

Hi there! BEAUTIFUL pictures, I'm so inspired! Even though it's sunny and warm now, I really liked the pic that shows a little bit of autumn. That's my favorite season and - call me silly - I already feel that I cannot wait for pumpkins and hay bales :-)

The last pic could very well be Carrie Bradshaw's house!

Take care!

I would have to say I think the third porch was my absolute favorite. I do see a lot of the brownstone porches since I live very close to Boston and there are sooooo many of them their.
They are all quite lovely.

Yes, the porch party has really been fun! I'm still not done going through the list. I love your dream porches. You have two of my favorite kinds posted, the first being the one with the adirondack chairs that look, like you said, something from the Hamptons overlooking the ocean; and the house in the woods with the huge columns and big porch that looks like it belongs deep in the south and dripping with greenery.

I also love Sex and the City and can't wait to see the movie! I want to try to get my daughter free for a couple hours so we can watch it together.

I wish I was sitting on the 2nd or 3rd porches right this minute listening to the rain and the birds and daydreaming. Thanks for the moment of zen!
