Happy Sunday!
No matter what stage of life you are in at the moment, enjoy it. Live it. Experience it. Because one day you will look back and cherish these moments. With a small baby to take care of and a growing nine year old to raise, sometimes I forget to live each moment. Tomorrow, my boys will be one day older. They will be small for only so long. So even through sleepless nights, sick babies and kids, rough days... I'm going to remember to embrace life. :)

Words of Inspiration: no. 2

This weekend, my husband is away in Arizona with two of his brothers and his uncle. They are out there for the Angels spring training and are having a ball so far watching baseball until they come home on Monday.

 

Since we got married last year, this is the longest I am going without my hubby here with me. The nights alone in my bed??? Hmmmph. I am already missing him. At least I am spending some quality time with my two darling sons. ;)

 

BUT, like these wise words state, sometimes being alone is healthy. Sometimes we need that to recharge, to watch what we want to watch, to eat what we want to eat, to spend the evenings with your self. It's healthy. And it's making me realize just how much I appreciate my husband being home with me. That man is getting a big fat smooch when he gets back, believe me. :)

 

Now I am off to watch an early Angels baseball game of my own... only my son is on this team. Go little league Angels! Hopefully Andrew's team will remain undefeated today!!! :)

Words of Inspiration: no.1

I find words comforting, inspiring, wise and happy. I will be sharing with you some of my favorite quotes, words, phrases and thoughts, each Saturday. They tie into my week or my weekend, my life at the moment, our my current state of mind.

 

 

This weekend, my sister and I are going on a little mini girls trip and night out. Long overdue! We are putting on fancy dress and pretty shoes, and heading out downtown San Diego for a fun evening together.

 

 

We have shared so many nights like this in the past and it always is so much fun. Fun hotel and a couple swanky cocktails, a little shopping and some sister chit chat!  Can't wait to have this girly night away!

I think weekends are the perfect time to share good thoughts through quotes and photos.    Birthdays are always happy. Celebrate regular old days like that too. Good attitudes all around! :)   We are off to John's cousin's daughter's {whew!} first birthday party today. {is there an easier way to say that???!} Happy birthday to little Sami! {How I love anything do-it-yourself!}

I am always on the lookout for interesting things that I can incorporate into my own house for relatively cheap.  These few DIY projects are seriously drool-worthy.  I'd love to make ANY of these!!!!  Onto the photos....   This a-mazing coffee table would be so simple to make.  And it makes such a statement!!!   This is seriously SO SO SOO cute.  I want to make these for some special gals on my Christmas lists!  How cute are these bracelets made with simple things from the hardware store?  And they look so cute when you pair them with some other glitzy jewels, too.  Find the how-to here.   Space is a huge issue in my tiny little home.  Wouldn't this be a great solution to wall storage?  Plus it's so darn cute.  These shelves would also be great for kids books in their rooms as well!    This hanging wire basket pendant lamp is to die for as well!  How cute would this be above a more edgy kitchen table?!  Ah!  Find the instructions here.   Hope you all pop over to Gussy Sews today to see more DIY projects, and thanks for reading today! I think tufted furniture is a nod to the past.  It gives me a vintage feel, but there are so many ways you can update it.  Toss these tufted pieces in a mix of more modern pieces and the look is really to die for!!  Onto the photos....
